Fabulous, large, rare, signed Auguste Jean French Art Nouveau Glass vase. This tall beauty has a graceful ruby glass ovoid body with clear applied rigaree, feet and teardrops. The polychrome enamel Japanese influenced hand painted decoration on the front of the vase has an unusual theme - a teapot and a fan. Signed A Jean on the underside. It is also signed St 186 on the base. Former owners catalog numbers on bottom. Ground and polished pontil with an extra gather of glass around the pontil . Circa late 1800's / early 1900's.

Condition: bruise crack on curlicue midway down front leg - see pic; gilt decoration mostly gone
