Rare Japanese Pattern EAPG Compote with Lid

A wonderful ornate pattern by George Duncan & Sons, circa 1880. The compote features three different scenes: a Pagoda surrounded by flowers and a tree, a castle with a sail boat in the water, and a rug. The scenes are separated by curtains, bamboo and other foliage. This beautiful pattern is also known as Bird in Ring, Butterfly & Fan, Grace, and Japanese Fan.

Size: 7 1/2" diameter; appx. 10" high with lid on

Condition: LID - multiple small chips bottom edge of lid - see pic; Base - fleabite on one rib under side of compote

Original Manufacturers Flaws: annealing marks in bottom of compote; knop may be a little crooked

Shipping: All glass is shipped double boxed so it should travel safely. Insurance is included in shipping.
