Everything about this vase is absolutely gorgeous: the shape, the scale - it's almost 17" tall, and the decoration. The top part of the vase has a mirror-like cranberry or ruby finish. The rest of the vase has a heavy gold finish with Rococo scrolls & dots. The vase is decorated with hundreds of tiny applied flowers - grouped in swags and cascades, and surrounding a clear glass medallion with a red jewel center. This unusual vase is triangular in shape at the top and has a molded tripod base with a central support. The base glass is clear, which can be seen in the little round medallions in the middle of the vase, and can also be seen from the bottom. The bottom of the vase is signed. Unfortunately we are unable to read what it says.

The shape of this vase is very similar to a tripod vase designed by Loetz designer Marie Kirchner.  Could be a Loetz blank decorated by Moser or one of the other find Bohemian Glass decorators, or not.  Circa late 1800's / early 1900's.  A fabulous Art Glass piece to add to your collection.

Size: top 3" across; 16 3/4" high

Condition: glass excellent; slight wear to gold; cloudiness inside vase can be seen through the medallions - gives it a frosted look.

Shipping: This vase will be shipped double boxed so it should travel safely. Insurance is included in shipping.

Item ID: 4590
