Pair of Opal Decorated Tumblers

Wonderful and unusual pair of old opal decorated satin glass tumblers or possibly small vases. The pieces compliment each other and were meant to go together. One glass has a barefooted maiden dancing in a meadow surrounded by a wreath of flowers. The other glass has a young man facing in the direction of the maiden. The man is surrounded by an identical wreath of flowers. Both tumblers have a glossy striped top rim and a satin finish over the rest of the glass, including the bottom of the foot. Both glasses have a ground pontil. These may be transferware with hand painted highlights. No idea of age or maker.

Size: top 2 5/8" diameter; 5 1/8" high

Condition: glass - no damage; wear to gilded lines - see pics; light wear to flowers on back of glasses

Shipping: All glass is shipped double boxed so it should travel safely. Insurance is included in shipping.

Item ID: 4347
