Exquisite original antique Three Face 11 1/2" pedestal cake stand. The Three face pattern was designed by John Ernest Miller who worked for George Duncan and Sons. It is said that the face is in the likeness of Elizabeth Miller, Ernest’s wife. This pattern was Duncan No. 400. It is also known as Three Sisters, Three Fates, and Three Graces. By George Duncan & Sons, circa 1878.

Size: appx. 11 3/8" diameter inside rim; appx. 11 5/8" diameter outside edge of rim; appx 7 7/8" high

Condition: lots of scratches from use; 7 ribs around foot have flakes at bottom edge - see pic for 2 largest flakes; lightly sun pupled

Original Manufacturers Flaws: the pedestal cake stand height varies by 3/16"; on top of plate there are three areas of overfill - see pics, one shows as a line on the plate, one is tadpole shaped on the plate, one is a raised spot on the rim; long annealing mark on plate; inclusion of white ash in foot
